Car Culture

Many see cars as purely a utility, a way to get from point A to point B. But there is an entire community and culture that revolves around cars. As an extreme example, the fast and furious movies give insight to what this culture is about. Without the guns of course. Many people take cars and put thousands of dollars into modifying them, taking them to meets, shows, racing events, etc. Places with the most rich car culture for example, are Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Pomona, but there are communities everywhere. While in China I would have a constant lookout for interesting cars but regulation is so tight that there are no custom modifications that I could see. However, they did have super cars such as Lamborghini, McLaren, Ferrari, and the likes. In Japan, the home of JDM (Japanese domestic market), I would hear some modified car from a mile away every 5 minutes, I could only spot a few but I was able to get a couple shots of some that I did see. Either way, seeing the home of where we import car parts from in the US, gave me more motivation to work on my own car projects whenever I have spare time. Most of the pictures of these cars I have are nothing special, but people that are in depth with the car scene will know why some of these cars are cooler than any supercar.
