The Lions Grove Garden was my favorite of the Chinese classical gardens. There is an element to being lost that I love. I find that when I lose my sense of direction, I can more easily notice detail and wander freely, without knowing where I am for a short while. This garden was designed in quite a small area, but leaves an impression of feeling huge due to its many many different pathways through various crevices, rocks, and overlooks. I also noticed hear that I really didn't care about sweating anymore, and that I had totally gotten used to it. During the stay I sat and sketched a normal looking structure for a few minutes until we had to depart on our towards our next site. If I go ever get to return to China, I would definitely visit this destination again.
